After the death of my husband, I needed to change the title on a property in Ohio. I contacted Mr. Bluestone and he was so very kind and empathetic to my situation. He was also so professional and persistent in getting the documents he needed from my attorney in California, always keeping me informed. Mr. Bluestone has integrity, professionalism, great communication skills and kindness. If I need attorney services again, Mr. Bluestone will be my first choice.

In 2017 my wife and I were hit with a large increase in the appraised value of a house that we owned in Westerville, OH which we were renting to friends.  The county’s appraisal was more than 50% higher than offers we had received for the house.  We contested the county’s valuation and submitted an appraisal by a firm we had used before.  Just before the hearing, we were told that the school board was opposing our motion, and that it would be represented by a lawyer at the hearing.  We selected Charles Bluestone, who was recommended by an accountant we knew.  Mr. Bluestone managed the hearing in such a way that the board granted our petition (we were not there, since we live far from Ohio).  When the school board appealed the decision, Mr. Bluestone recommended a different appraiser, whom we used.  Mr. Bluestone also suggested that if we were able to contact the school board ourselves directly, we might succeed in getting them to tell their law firm to drop the appeal, since it appeared to be a waste of the school board’s money.  This I was able to do, fortunately, and the matter came to an end.  The result was a reduction of our taxes, even below what they had been in previous years, so that we came out ahead.  Moreover, in the following triennial, the county kept the appraisal number that was reached through the litigation, so we are saving a substantial amount in taxes during this triennial.  I thought Mr. Bluestone managed the matter with skill.  I liked the result very much. And I would recommend him to anyone who needs to contest the valuation of their property.

I contacted Mr. Bluestone regarding a property tax increase that was initiated by the State of Ohio. Chuck was very responsive throughout the entire process and kept me informed through each step of my appeal. He was available after office hours and always welcomed my inquiries about my case. In the end, my appeal was successful thanks to Chuck! Highly recommend!

Charles Bluestone and his entire staff are wonderful.  He has been my attorney for a number of years and has ALWAYS been there for me in a helpful, professional and friendly manner.  He is a very honest man and I completely trust him.  He even leaves on his office answering service his personal cell phone for emergencies.  Recently I had to call him in one of these situations I didn’t realize he was on vacation and he was kind enough to take my call while he was on a ski lift!  That is how reliable he is.  Highly recommended!!
