Andrew J. Merwine, MBA

Andrew “Drew” Merwine, Esq. is a graduate of The Ohio State University (B.A., ’14) and Capital University Law School (J.D., ‘21). Between college and law school, he spent several years working in the financial services industry assisting investors with their retirement plans. In law school, the Tax Executives Institute awarded him the Craig Schmidtgesling Excellence in Tax Scholarship Award. During all 3 years of law school, he participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, which prepares federal and state income tax returns for low-income clients at no charge. He also previously clerked/interned for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, as well as a small real estate law firm focused on property transactions and litigation.

His family’s real estate business has been active for many years. This experience provides him with insight into the needs of small business owners and real estate investors, as well as a firsthand perspective into the outsized role that property taxes play for any person who owns real estate. He is excited to bring his skills to bear for Bluestone Law Group’s clients.

In August 2022, Drew was awarded his Master of Business Administration degree from Capital University’s School of Management and Leadership.

In his free time, Drew enjoys traveling, reading and trying out different breweries and restaurants in the Columbus area. A native of Mansfield, Ohio, he also enjoys visiting his hometown and spending time with family and friends.
